Promote Friendly International Exchanges Through a Taste of Traditional Chinese Culture
FJPIT’s first international students studying and living in China log
On January 15, 2019, FJPIT’s first international students succeeded in completing their first semester and returned to Thailand. Through a semester’s hard work, they excelled in listening and speaking Chinese. Not only can they now understand most everyday language and make basic conversations, they also have a more profound understanding of Chinese culture.
Times flies, it seems only yesterday that the first 19 Thailand overseas student came to our school on October 10, 2018. Under the guidance of our teachers, they get to know our campus and their studying and living environments. On the next day, our college held the international students opening ceremony and entrance education, and arranged one “language pal” for each overseas student.

During classes, the international students studied hard. They listened carefully and are not afraid to seek advices from teachers. The teachers combined their own experiences into these classes and went beyond sheer textbook.

Other than studying in class, international students also actively took part in a variety of club activities. They also participated in many of our college’s parties. Through participating in these events, they not only improved their Chinese skills, but also gained wider vision and more friends.

As the old saying goes, “read more and travel more”. After classes, international students toured around Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, Pingtan Beigang Fishing Village, Longfengtou Bathing Beach, Pingtan Haitan Heritage City. They not only learnt the culture and history of Fuzhou city, but also created more chances for themselves in learning Chinese traditional culture.

After 3 months of studying and living here at FJPIT, they not only gained knowledge, understand more about Chinese culture, but also made valuable friends. We believe they can become messengers of Chinese culture, bringing Chinese culture back to Thailand and make it global.
